Former Stitzel-Weller Exec: ‘Cancer free’

Bourbon

April 7, 2015

I have some great news. In a post a couple weeks ago, I wrote about former Stitzel-Weller exec Dale Hamilton battling cancer. Today, Dale shares his appreciation to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. He is now cancer free.

From Dale:

Wanted to send you a note to thank you for the nice post about me on your blog. It lifted my emotional spirits and my kids and grandkids enjoyed it also. In fact “kick cancer’s butt” became the mantra for the whole operation ordeal. I guess it worked because the next morning after surgery the Urologist came to visit and said I was “cancer free”.

I really appreciate your act of kindness through your blog. I’m hoping you can still make an opportunity to come view my collection of Stitzel-Weller products and other memorabilia. I understand that you are probably in the midst of Derby festivities since bourbon and horses are Kentucky’s claim to fame. So, let me know what would be a good time for you if you are still interested. — Dale

I’ve already told Dale a “hell yes, I’ll come check out those bottles!” Stay tuned for some great photos and thank you.

In the meantime, let’s celebrate with some great bourbon, preferably an old Stitzel-Weller whiskey. Cheers!
