Rogue Ales & Spirits Announces Launch of Single Barrel Whiskey Series

Rogue Ales & Spirits announced the launch of a its Single Barrel Project whiskey series, a planned series of limited-release single barrels that have been finished in other barrels.

Four releases per year are planned, according to a news release. The first is

Barrel 1 is a 6-and-a-half-year American single malt whiskey finished in cabernet sauvignon barrels from Washington and bottled at 96 proof. Barrel 2 is slated for release in January 2021 and is an 8-year-old rye malt whiskey finished in second-use zinfandel barrels. Barrel 3, planned for a March 2021 release, is a single malt whiskey finished in a Rogue Rolling Thunder Barrel Works Cherry Wood barrel.

Rogue whiskeys will be available throughout Oregon, the brewery/distillery’s home state. Pricing and bottle quantities were not specified.
