New Riff Distilling announced it will release a 15-year-old straight bourbon this spring, with all profits benefiting relief efforts for service industry workers in the northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati areas.

The goal is to raise $120,000 in cooperation with the Cincinnati Bourbon Society; just under 900 bottles of the bourbon will be available.

New Riff Relief 15 Year Straight Bourbon Whiskey was distilled in Indiana and will be bottled in Kentucky by New Riff. It is a rare, high-rye bourbon that is bottled in bond with no chill filtration. It will be priced at $200 per bottle, with all profits donated to the Ohio Restaurant Employee Relief Fund and the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, who will disburse the funds as direct relief to individuals in need.  

Bottles will only be available through the distillery itself. The distillery’s in-house tasting bar, The Aquifer, will also offer single pours as well.

“We sprung this extremely limited bottling from our warehouse to support the bar and restaurant community that has supported us from the start,” Hannah Lowen, vice president of operations, said in a news release. “This is how we can raise a glass — and funds — for our embattled friends.”

Further release details will be announced soon, according to the distillery.
