In Bourbon Curious, I dedicated a couple pages to the past non-distiller producers with an intent to show they’re nothing new. Distillers and NDPs have always battled each other in the marketplace. Some distillers sold to bottlers who created fun backstories and others championed their distilling heritage.

Yesterday, a distiller family sent me a text with a 1950s-era Glenmore ad campaign discussing the importance of “distilled and bottled by.”

It’s funny how some slogans never get old. You could take this 1954 ad and run it full page today.
