Ultimate Craft Whiskey Challenge… Bartender Fundraiser

Bourbon

March 16, 2020

I have long said that most craft whiskeys are not as good as Evan Williams Black Label, an 86-proof solid bourbon from Heaven Hill. Well, in an effort to raise money for bartenders currently out of work due to the virus, I am doing a Live Tasting on YouTube Friday, March 20, 9 p.m. Do not miss this, as we can raise a lot of money for bartenders out of work right now. (Subscribe to the channel and set reminder for the tasting.)

I’ve partnered with Seelbachs to put on this Ultimate Craft Whiskey Challenge. Black Riber of Bourbonr and Seelbachs selected these four craft whiskeys to face off against Evan Williams:

High Wire Distilling Jimmy Red Bourbon

Old Dominick Huling Station Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey
Spirits Of French Lick Lee Sinclair 4-Grain Bourbon
McKenzie Bourbon Whiskey
Great Wagon Road Distilling Rua American Single Malt

Set your reminders to watch this taste off. Funds will be raised for the USBG’s relief efforts to help bartenders impacted by the coronavirus.

Taste along with me! Buy these whiskeys and Seelbachs will be donating a portion of these proceeds to the United States Bartenders’ Guild’s Relief Fund. You can learn more about that here and make a donation now.

In addition, during the Live Tasting, you will have the ability to donate money while watching. Any donation that is given during the tasting will be donated directly to this cause, but people are encouraged to donate to the USBG as well.

As for the taste off, I’ve sipped on all of these before, and Evan Williams might be in trouble this time. How will it finish in the challenge?

Tune in to find out. Even if you can’t join, share the live tasting with your friends, as we need to help these bartenders, many of whom live from paycheck to paycheck.
