Stranahan’s to Release Mountain Angel 10 Year Old in Limited Quantities

Bourbon

September 17, 2020

Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey announced it will release Mountain Angel 10 Year Old, touting it as the first American single malt aged 10 years in new charred American oak barrels rather than used bourbon casks.

Mountain Angel 10 is a small batch distilled with 100% Rocky Mountain barley and Colorado spring water. Due in part to heavy angel’s share loss, according to a news release, fewer than 500 bottles will hit the market. The evaporation is attributed to the high altitude in Denver.

The whiskey was bottled at 47.3% ABV; SRP is $129.99 per 750ml bottle.
