Revived Rosebank Distillery Announces Release of Limited Edition 30-Year Whisky

Rosebank Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky announced the first in a series of annual limited edition releases, starting with a 30-year-old vintage bottle.

The hand-selected vintage, laid down in 1990, were bottled and marked “Release One,” commemorating the revival of the distillery after its closure in 1993. Each year, vintage whiskys will be released while new distillations are aging.

Only 4,350 bottles of Rosebank 30-Year-Old will be available worldwide, priced at £1,650 and available directly from Rosebank’s website. The non-chill-filtered spirit was bottled at 48.6% ABV.

In addition, first 200 people to purchase a bottle and scan the QR code on the neck collar be able to claim a dram of Release Two in 2021 at their nearest high-end, luxury bar or whisky retailer, as well as the chance to receive an early link to purchase Release Two before the general release.

These releases come after Ian Macleod Distillers acquired the Rosebank brand and last remaining stocks in October 2017 and were granted planning permission to revive the distillery on its original site in January 2019.
