Four Gate Whiskey Company announced its 14th release, a blend of two Kentucky straight bourbon whiskeys aged an additional 88 days in Spanish Oloroso Sherry Barrels. The batch is released under the name Old Sherry Pike.

Old Sherry Pike is a blend of 6- and 12-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskeys with mash bills of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12 % malted barley for the 6-year and 74% Corn, 18% Rye, and 8% Malted Barley for the 12-year.

The finishing barrels were originally used in Spain to age Oloroso Sherry, a fortified wine known for its sweet and nutty characteristics. In total, 1,757 bottles were produced and bottled at cask strength – 59.45 Proof, or 118.9% ABV without chill-filtration.

Old Sherry Pike retails for $199 and will be available in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Georgia and Louisiana. Bottles will also be available online through Seelbachs.com, Bourbonoutfitter.com, and Caskers.com.
