Pursuit Spirits Releases Limited Edition Rye Blend
Pursuit Spirits, founded by the creators of the popular podcast Bourbon Pursuit, have released their second major brand extension, Pursuit United Rye. This new blend marries three mashbills from two different distilleries to create an uncommon rye whiskey.
Following in the same footsteps as Pursuit United bourbon, Pursuit United Rye wanted to showcase the art of the blend. The small batch blend of straight rye whiskeys utilizes three different mashbills from two states. One is provided by Bardstown Bourbon Company and the other two come from Sagamore Spirit. The blend utilizes Sagamore’s 52% rye, 43% corn, and 5% malted barley mashbill which provides more bourbon-like characteristics.
The inaugural release will have 2076 bottles at 108 proof (54% Alc./Vol), non-chill filtered, and available with a SRP of $65. Pursuit United Rye will be available in limited quantities on store shelves in CO, GA, IL, KY, TX and online at Seelbachs.com. Pursuit United Rye will continue to be a yearly limited release.
Editor’s Note: Fred Minnick is partnered with owners of Pursuit United in the Bourbon Pursuit Podcast. But he is not affiliated with their spirits company.
