Washington-based Quartz Mountain Distillers, Inc., announced the release of its first Bottle-in-Bond Bourbon.
Mashed, distilled, and barreled in the spring of 2020, this Bottled In Bond Bourbon was aged in Quartz Mountain Distiller’s bonded warehouse over five years.
The mash bill is made up of 68.7% Corn, 17.1% Wheat and 14.2% Vienna Barley. The corn and wheat are sourced directly from farms in Eastern Washington, continuing Quartz Mountain’s commitment to supporting local agriculture and transparent sourcing.
The Bottled In Bond Bourbon was aged in new 53-gallon American White Oak barrels, coopered by Kelvin Cooperage in Louisville, Kentucky. These barrels, known for their deep toast and superior quality, helped develop the Bourbon’s rich flavor profile.
“This limited-edition, three-grain bourbon meets the strict standards of the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, delivering a spirit that’s as honest as it is exceptional,” Randy Kyle, Vice President of Quartz Mountain Distillers, Inc., said in a news release. “Creating a Bottle-in-Bond whiskey isn’t just about following regulations — it’s about honoring a heritage of integrity. This bourbon was made in one distilling season, by one distiller, barreled and aged in our federally bonded warehouse, then bottled precisely at 100 proof. It’s a full expression of our commitment to craft.”
A bottle release celebration event has been planned for August 2, 2025 at the distillery from 12-6pm. This product will be available at that time at the distillery and from select retailers.
