James B. Beam Distilling Co. announced the release of a new expression: Jim Beam Sunshine Blend.

Sunshine Blend is an 80-proof blend of classic Jim Beam and a new whiskey made with brown rice and aged for four years. A news announcement describes the new expression as having a “flowery, fruity flavor profile.”

The lower-proof bourbon, Beam said, is “made with sunny social moments in mind.” Sunshine Blend is recommended for drinking on the rocks, mixed in a cocktail or paired with club soda or lemonade.

It is priced at $16.99.

“With bourbon drinkers expanding and Gen Z/Millennials leading a shift toward lighter, sessionable spirits, Sunshine Blend enters at the perfect moment,” Beam’s news release said, “bringing flavor, ease, and sociability to a category traditionally known for depth and complexity.”
