Cedar Ridge Releases Anniversary Edition Bourbon - Fred Minnick

Cedar Ridge Releases Anniversary Edition Bourbon

Bourbon

August 6, 2025

Cedar Ridge Anniversary Bourbon bottle

To honor its 20th anniversary, the Cedar Ridge Distillery has released its first-ever Anniversary Edition Bourbon. This limited release pays tribute to two decades of whiskey-making rooted in wine country tradition.

To mark the milestone, Master Distiller Murphy Quint crafted this expression by finishing its award-winning Iowa Bourbon in Tokaji, Ruby Port, Amontillado Sherry casks, and 2nd New American Oak barrels. This special release showcases the brand’s signature wine-barrel finishing techniques, which have shaped Cedar Ridge’s identity over the last 20 years.

“To mark our 20th anniversary, I wanted to create a whiskey that honors our beginnings while also representing what we’ve evolved into,” Quint said in a news release. “This release unites two cornerstones of our history—Iowa bourbon and wine—with the craft we’ve mastered in recent years: blending cask-finished whiskeys. The result is a wine-cask finished bourbon, a truly special release that brings our journey full circle.”

The Cedar Ridge Anniversary Edition Bourbon is made from the brand’s signature mashbill:

  • 74% Iowa Corn
  • 14% Rye
  • 12% Malted Barley

It is distilled to 110 proof, 55% abv, and retails for $59.99.  This is a limited edition and available in Iowa and online at https://cedarridgedistillery.com/whiskeys/anniversary-edition-bourbon/.

About the Cedar Ridge Distillery

In 2003, Jeff and Laurie Quint closed on the property that would become the Cedar Ridge Distillery.  Located between Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, the property started out as a vineyard.  It wasn’t until a year later that Jeff toyed with the idea of producing spirits. The licenses to produce spirits became official on August 16, 2005.  In 2014, their son Murphy returned to the distillery. marked a new era of creativity, pushing the boundaries of bourbon and the rise of American Single Malt. Since then, Cedar Ridge has expanded its program to include over 200 finishing casks on-site. For more information, visit https://cedarridgedistillery.com/.
