Historic Castle & Key Distillery announced the appointment of whiskey industry veteran Sherrie Moore as Plant Manager.

Moore began her career in 1975 at Jack Daniel’s Distillery, where she developed her expertise across every facet of whiskey making. Over the course of three decades, she held progressive leadership roles, including Plant Manager, Director of Production, and Assistant Vice President. Her responsibilities spanned the entire process — from distillation, warehousing, maturation, processing, bottling, and quality control.

A true industry veteran, Moore has a particular passion for barrels and maturation, areas in which she has led numerous innovations and cost-saving initiatives still in use today. Her career has been defined by her love for the industry and her ability to bring energy, expertise, and a holistic focus to whiskey production — knowing that every step is critical to crafting the best whiskey.
