Stitzel-Weller Distillery announced it will extend its visitor hours April 26-May 3 to celebrate the Kentucky Derby and the distillery’s 91st birthday.

Hours during that time will expand to 10 a.m.-7 p.m., and the distillery will play host to a number of special events that will be open to the public.

The festivities will feature live music, lawn games, curated picnic experiences, and a birthday toast to mark the  Stitzel-Weller Distillery’s 91st year on race day. Also, this year, the Stitzel-Weller Distillery is giving back to its Louisville neighbors on April 28th: visitors who live in Louisville will receive a 20% discount at the gift shop (not including alcohol) and residents of Shively will receive the 20% discount plus a complimentary gift.

Stitzel-Weller Distillery: Race Week 2026 Calendar of Events

April 26th-May 2nd – The Triple Crown Experience (reservations required)  

• Time: Reservations Required. Times vary; see web listing for slots. 
• Overview: A 30-minute, curated guided tasting experience exploring the historical intersection of  race day and Stitzel-Weller Distillery. Guests will enjoy a flight featuring Blade and Bow and the prestigious Blade and Bow 22-Year-Old, a race day-inspired cocktail in a souvenir glass, and an individual meat and cheese pairing.
• Tickets: Available for purchase on the Stitzel-Weller Distillery website for $58.30 per ticket. 

April 28th – Locals Day 

• Time: 10AM–7PM
• Overview: We’re celebrating our neighbors with exclusive retail rewards. All Louisville residents receive a 20% discount in the gift shop (excludes alcohol). Residents of Shively will receive the 20% discount plus a complimentary gift from our team. Valid ID required to redeem.
• Tickets: No ticket necessary. 

May 1st -2nd – Luxury Suite Experience (reservations required)  

• Time: Reservations Required
  • May 1 – 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM
  • May 2 – 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 4:00 PM
• Overview: For those seeking the ultimate sporting lifestyle experience, guests will have exclusive access for 2 hours to a suite of rooms that originally served as the personal offices of our founders, where they will enjoy a luxury bourbon flight featuring rare expressions from the Stitzel-Weller Distillery rick houses, including Stitzel Reserve 24-Year Old, Blade and Bow 22-Year-Old and Blade and Bow 30-Year-Old. A dedicated bourbon host will guide attendees through the tasting, which also includes private bar access, light bites and a complimentary cocktail. 
• Tickets: Available for purchase on the Stitzel-Weller Distillery website for $466.40 per ticket.

May 3rd – Stitzel Weller Distillery’s 91st Birthday Celebration

• Time: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Distillery Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Overview: Join us on the lawn to toast 91 years of bourbon history. The afternoon features live music, the Blade and Bow trailer serving up cocktails, a commemorative photo booth, snacks, and special prizes. It’s the perfect way to cap off Race Week.
