Oaklore Distilling Co. announced the release of two distinctive new expressions in its Story Series: Old Fashioned Finished Four Grain Bourbon and Port Cask Finished Four Grain Bourbon. 

Both whiskeys are produced under the direction of Co-Founder Thomas Bogan and begin with Oaklore’s signature four-grain bourbon mash bill—corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley—aged a minimum of six years. Select barrels sourced from Oaklore’s sister distilleries in North Carolina and Kentucky are then batched, re-barreled, and aged an additional 12 to 18 months before undergoing their final, defining finishes.

The Story Series: Old Fashioned Finished Four Grain Bourbon is finished for an additional 18 months in barrels previously used to age Oaklore’s Old Fashioned Cocktail Mixer. Bottled at 98 proof, the release showcases Oaklore’s inventive approach to finishing while remaining grounded in classic bourbon structure.

Complementing it is the Story Series: Port Cask Finished Four Grain Bourbon, which spends an additional 12 to 18 months resting in freshly dumped domestic port wine barrels that previously held port for up to 18 years and is bottled at 92 proof.

“These releases represent everything Oaklore stands for—patience, creativity, and a deep respect for the craft,” Oaklore co-founder Matt Simpkins said in a news release. “Each finishing process was chosen to tell a different story while letting the underlying bourbon shine.”

Now available in limited quantities, both expressions will  retail for $89.95 SRP (Old Fashioned Finish) and $79.95 SRP (Port Cask Finish).
