Frank August Releases Case Study: 07
Frank August announced the release of CASE STUDY: 07 | FRENCH CONNECTION, the seventh installment in its CASE STUDY program, an ongoing exploration of blending, finishing, and maturation.
Rooted in the idea that great cultures are shaped through exchange, CASE STUDY: 07 draws inspiration from a defining moment in history. On July 4, 1884, France presented the Statue of Liberty to the United States; not as a transaction, but as a gesture. A symbol of shared ideals: craft, vision, and an enduring belief in progress.
This release reflects that quiet dialogue.
Composed of 9x, seven-barrel batches of Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Rye Whiskies, CASE STUDY: 07 was finished across Calvados, Martinique Rhum, and Caribbean Rum casks; each contributing its own distinct influence. The result is not an imitation of tradition, but a continuation of it: a modern exchange where French and Caribbean accents leave their mark on the structure of American whiskey.
In a final, deliberate detail, the whiskey is proofed to 107.4—a subtle nod to the date that began it all.
“CASE STUDY has always been about exploration; understanding how different influences, traditions, and techniques can come together with intention,” Johnathan Crocker, Co-Founder, CEO and Master Blender of Frank August, said in a news release. “Each release is a continuation of that pursuit. It’s about how those influences are layered, refined, and ultimately shaped into something entirely new.”
CASE STUDY: 07 has an SRP of $124.99.
