Wyoming’s Brush Creek Distillery Releases 2026 Heroes Edition
Brush Creek Distillery announced a special 2026 release of its ‘Heroes Edition’ Straight Bourbon Whiskey in honor of America’s 250th anniversary. This batch reflects the Distillery’s love for the American West and honors those in the community that put others ahead of themselves.
Debuted in 2021, the Distillery has historically released just one barrel of its ‘Heroes Edition’ Bourbon per year. This year the team will release three barrels as part of the Distillery’s ongoing celebration of the True Spirit of the American West and recognition of America’s 250th anniversary. The 2026 release features a patriotic blend of Red Winter Wheat, Blue and White Corn straight bourbons, along with a hearty dose of rye, ranging from 6-12 years of age.
“This limited release pays tribute to the everyday heroes of yesterday, today, and tomorrow whose character, service, and dedication help shape our nation.,” Andrew Wason, Managing Director of Brush Creek Distillery, said in a news release.
Capturing both the ruggedness and the pioneering spirit of the American West, the team at Brush Creek Distillery has been craft distilling and blending in the spirits industry since 2019. The property has served as a working cattle ranch since 1884, when American settlers and loggers surging west established homesteads in Saratoga.
Brush Creek Distillery’s craft spirits program is inspired by the rugged beauty and abundant natural resources of its 30,000-acre home at The Farm at Brush Creek. Drawing from the surrounding landscape and the property’s world-class culinary and agricultural programs, the distilling team collaborates across departments to create distinctive spirits and unique offerings that showcase ingredients and experiences unique to the ranch. From the 20,000-square-foot sustainable Greenhouse and Medicine Bow Creamery to the Cheyenne Club, Bakery, Wagyu program, and the property’s renowned 30,000+ bottle wine collection, every bottle reflects a true sense of place and craftsmanship.
The 2026 ‘Heroes Edition’ has a mashbill that mashbill consists of 7% Red Winter Wheat, 21% Rye, 7% Blue Corn, 7% White Corn, 54% Yellow Corn and 4% barley.
Brush Creek Distillery, located just 35 miles from I-80, makes for a convenient stop on a cross-country road trip. Distillery tours and experiences are open to the public and bookable on OpenTable. For a longer stay, the world-renowned Brush Creek Ranch will host its annual Independence Week & Rodeo celebration July 1-8.
