Filmland Spirits unearthed its first American Single Malt, an 86 proof Straight American Whiskey crafted from 100 percent malted barley and aged for five years in Oak IPA Barrels. The Malted Mummy is premiering at BrewzleFest, August 29, 2026.

“After years as a niche product, American Single Malt is the bright spot on whiskey shelves; it has been one of the fastest-growing categories of whiskey in the world for several years now and has great potential in the US,” Filmland Spirits Founder and CEO Troy Bolotnick said in a news release. “We procured these barrels from a distillery in Iowa several years ago, and after letting them age in Kentucky, we felt now was the time for The Malted Mummy to join the Filmland family.”

The American Single Malt Whiskey Market was valued at USD 846.3 Million in 2025 and is projected to grow to USD 1500 Million by 2035, at a CAGR of 5.9%.
