Four Roses Distillery employees will come together on Thursday, September 17, for the 10th annual Salt River Cleanup, continuing a decade-long commitment to protecting and restoring one of the region’s most important natural resources.

The limestone-rich waters of the Salt River are deeply connected to the surrounding community and play an important role in the bourbon production process. To mark the 10th anniversary of the cleanup initiative, Four Roses employees will work across the Salt River area behind the distillery.

Four Roses is continuing its partnership with the Kentucky Waterway Alliance, a statewide nonprofit dedicated to empowering communities to care for their local waterways and advocating for stronger watershed protections at the state and national levels. The partnership educates employees on how best to protect Kentucky’s waterways for generations to come.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary, Four Roses will release a limited Private Barrel Selection at its Lawrenceburg Visitor Center for $120, with half of the proceeds benefiting the Kentucky Waterway Alliance. Master Distiller Brent Elliott selected a 10-year-old OESQ for the release, laid down the same year the distillery’s Salt River project began. Each purchase will also include a commemorative Salt River Cleanup water bottle as a gift with purchase.
