Willett Distillery announced Willett Pot Still Reserve Cask Strength, a new full-proof expression of the distillery’s small batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. 

The release brings greater intensity and body to the familiar wheated bourbon while preserving one of American whiskey’s most recognizable presentations: the pot still-shaped bottle designed by the late Even Kulsveen.

The new expression will be released twice each year, on the occasions of the Spring and Fall Equinox. The cadence reflects two natural turning points and two distinct bourbon seasons: fresh mint and juleps as spring returns, followed by autumn evenings, crackling fires and richer pours as the weather cools.

Willett Pot Still Reserve Cask Strength is built from a mash bill of 65% corn, 20% wheat and 15% barley and enters the barrel at 115 proof. Bottled at its natural cask strength, the expression presents the bourbon without proofing down, offering drinkers a robust and distinctive pour shaped by the character of each small batch. The final proof will vary by release and will appear on the bottle.

The bottle remains central to the story. Conceived by Even Kulsveen, the distinctive decanter is an exact replica of the patented Willett pot still built by Vendome Copper and Brass. Long an unmistakable silhouette on back bars and retail shelves, the design connects the whiskey in the bottle to the equipment, ingenuity and family stewardship behind Willett Distillery.

“The Pot Still bottle is part of Willett’s identity, and it carries the vision of Even Kulsveen every time it is placed on a shelf or poured at a bar” Master Distiller Drew Kulsveen said in a news release. “Releasing this bourbon at cask strength gives whiskey drinkers a new way to experience the wheated mash bill—full proof, full bodied and presented in a bottle that means so much to our family.”
