Buzzard’s Roost Distillery announced the release of its newest limited-time offer: Cigar Blend Bourbon.

Buzzard’s Roost fans may remember its popular Cigar Rye, which sold out in record time. For this expression, Buzzard’s Roost leveraged its proprietary double oak approach to craft a bourbon that pairs with a fine cigar, and also works as a stand-alone pour.

“We are anxious for people to taste our new Cigar Blend Bourbon,” Buzzard’s Roost Co-founder and CEO Judy Hollis Jones said in a news release. “We know how much people loved our original Cigar Rye, and think this one turned out beautifully. My father and grandmother loved good cigars, and this bourbon brings me happy memories with every sip.”

Buzzard’s Roost Cigar Blend Bourbon is a 6-year-old whiskey coming in at 105-proof, with a mash bill of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley. It will be released online and at Whiskey Row on Friday, Sept. 5 and will be poured at the Buzzard’s Roost booth at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival, Sept. 4-7. The SRP is $85.

“Our unique double oak process really shines in this bourbon,” Jason Brauner, co-founder and master blender, added. “From our 17 different barrel profiles, we choose a handful of barrels for secondary maturation that we knew would bring out specific aromas and flavors that would complement a fine cigar, just as a great red wine complements a juicy steak.”

In addition to Cigar Blend Bourbon, Buzzard’s Roost also is offering a limited number of single barrels of barrel-strength Cigar Blend Bourbon as well as Cigar Blend Rye. To inquire about these barrels, please email [email protected].
