Chattanooga Whiskey Bottled in Bond Vintage Fall 2019 bottle

Chattanooga Whiskey announced its latest release in the Bottled in Bond Vintage Series: Fall 2019. Barreled from July 2019 through December 2019, this seasonal vintage brings the flavors of custom-toasted barrels to the series.

As with previous vintages, Fall 2019 was exclusively produced at Chattanooga Whiskey’s Riverfront Distillery and was crafted from a variety of unique high-malt bourbon mash bills – all made within the same distilling  season – and each one composed of at least 25% specialty malted grains.

The 6th vintage since 2021, the Fall 2019 blend features three unique mash bills, each one aged in a portion of custom-toasted barrels, which were developed in collaboration with their cooper (Independent Stave Company)  to match the flavor characteristics of the underlying recipes.

A light, low temperature toast profile was designed to complement the wheated recipe, while a much longer, hotter toast profile was crafted to pair with their chocolate-lover “Roasted” recipe. These two toast profiles joined Chattanooga Whiskey’s signature “Barrel 91” custom toast profile, which is toasted for an extended  period of time through a broad range of temperatures.

“While this isn’t the first time toasted and charred barrels have been used in our Bottled in Bond series, this particular vintage utilizes multiple types of toasted barrels; each one custom-developed to match the flavor profiles of the three mash bills included in the blend,” said Grant McCracken, Founding Distiller and Chief Product Officer, in a news release.

Made in four batches of 11 barrels each, this limited release will be available at the Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery and across TN, GA, KY, FL, TX, IL, IN, OH, and CO at a suggested retail price of $52.99 for a 750ml bottle. More information about each mash bill can be found at

Founded in 2011, Chattanooga Whiskey’s Experimental Distillery now hosts more than 40,000 visitors per year. The Riverfront Distillery, meanwhile, is the production home to Chattanooga Whiskey’s signature expressions, Chattanooga  Whiskey 91, Cask 111 and 99 Rye, as well as their Bottled in Bond Vintage Series and Barrel Finishing Series.
