Connecticut’s first-ever dedicated auction of rare whiskey, wine, and spirits is set for Friday Feb. 23,, 2024 at 5 p.m.

This historic event, accessible via multiple online participation options, as well as an in-person venue, will feature 420 lots of rare and collectible bourbon, scotch, and Irish whiskey from distillers Buffalo Trace, Michter’s, and Stitzel-Weller as well as a carefully cellared fine wine collection.

“The hunt for rare bottles is time consuming and full of pitfalls,” Auctioneer Ryan Brechlin said. “Good Bottle Auctions is a way for enthusiasts to find exactly what they are looking for.”

Brechlin and auctioneer Thomas Selmont have a combined 35 years auction experience in the antiques, art, military and firearms business. From its brick-and-mortar location Good Bottle Auctions offers exemplary customer service and authenticity. Along with safe and officially authorized online and in-person bidding options the auction will be live streamed over multiple platforms.

Bidders must be 21 years of age or older. The Live Auction event is free to attend, however seating is limited and reservations are required.

Recent changes to Connecticut State law opened up the opportunity to broaden entry to robust consumer and collectible alcohol market.  “Our auction brings authenticity and legality to the secondary alcohol market,” Selmont said.
