Planteray Rum, announced the release of Planteray Sealander Rum, a permanent addition to the portfolio whose journey from barrel to bottle encompasses three expansive oceans. This rum travels to a trio of rum producing countries: Barbados, Mauritius and the Fiji Islands.

Transforming a long-held dream of owner and Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel and his team, they’ve succeeded in making this dream into a reality. Each bottle seamlessly blends Planteray’s approach to rum-making with the distinctive qualities native to each island distillery.

“For more than 25 years, Planteray Rum barrels have sailed between the great rum-producing origins and France, to bring the finest rums to your bars and tables,” Gabriel said in a news release. “Sealander honors this history – I am so excited to share it with you.”

A RUM SHAPED BY THREE OCEANS

A voyage that unites the traditions of three passionate countries, the trans-oceanic journey spans the Atlantic, South Pacific and Indian Oceans. Each bottle of Planteray Sealander Rum bears the hallmarks of such an expedition.

Harnessing the Fiji Islands’ mineral-rich volcanic soil, each barrel produced by the Rum Co. of Fiji is enhanced by the warm, tropical climate unique to the South Pacific.  

Accentuated by the Stade’s West Indies Rum Distillery’s aging process beside the shores of Barbados’ Brighton Beach facing the Caribbean Sea, this pot and column still rum, is aged for up to eight years. 

Both selections are further enhanced by the addition of a third rum, direct from Mauritius’ Saint Aubin Distillery. The distillery’s column distilled unaged earthy cane juice rum adds freshness, completing the trifecta.

Available nationwide as of April 2025, Planteray Sealander Rum is bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) with a suggested retail price of $44.00.
