Ambuzzadors Rye bottles 2025

Buzzard’s Roost Distillery will release its newest single-barrel whiskey on Saturday, June 14, specially chosen by its flock of fans called Ambuzzadors.

Twice a year, Buzzard’s Roost invites its Ambuzzadors to its distillery and tasting room on Whiskey Row for barrel picks. The group’s selection is then bottled and Ambuzzadors get first dibs on bottles. On June 14 – National Bourbon Day – Buzzard’s Roost will make it available to all, with a release party on Whiskey Row and online.

“We love doing barrel picks with our Ambuzzadors,” Buzzard’s Roost CEO and Co-Founder Judy Hollis Jones, said in a news release. “We like to call this ‘the peoples’ whiskey,’ because it was chosen by members of our own fan club.”

The newest Ambuzzadors Select is a five-year-old barrel-strength rye that was double-oaked for 18 months in one of Buzzard’s Roost lightly charred, custom-toasted barrels to extract the best flavors from the oak. The rye is 115-proof and retails for $85.

In addition to barrel-pick opportunities, Ambuzzadors get other insider perks, including free shipping promotions, advance word about new releases, invitations to happy hours and tastings both at Whiskey Row and on Zoom, plus a loyalty card entitling them to a complimentary experience at Buzzard’s Roost Distillery and Tasting Room with the purchase of six bottles.

“As our most loyal fans, we like to give Ambuzzadors the VIP treatment,” Buzzard’s Roost Co-founder Jason Brauner added.
