Radico Khaitan, one of India’s oldest liquor manufacturers, announced the launch of new packaging for 8PM Premium Black Whisky.

Launched in 2018 as an extension of the iconic 8PM Whisky, the Premium Black variant has quickly carved its own niche among whisky lovers. Since its inception, the brand has surpassed 12 million cases sold.

The bottle reveals intricate embossing, a tribute to heritage, with “SINCE 1998” etched into the glass, anchoring the whisky’s legacy of over 27 years of excellence and dominance in the industry. The name ‘Black’ signifies a deeper, more nuanced character that distinguishes it from its predecessor. 

“8PM Premium Black was crafted for those who savour authenticity, depth, and a sense of occasion,” Mr. Abhishek Khaitan, Managing Director of Radico Khaitan, said in a news release. “Through the new packaging, we wanted the bottle to become an extension of the idea itself with a bold, contemporary design that mirrors the blend’s depth and the time it represents.”

The bottle features an octagonal neck that symbolizes strength and elegance, and a label inspired by the ‘Art of Eight’, with each line echoing the whisky’s rich tasting notes. A standout feature of the refreshed packaging is the ‘8 Rare Notes’, displayed with a sleek new look while maintaining the same taste. 

The bold, black aesthetics align with its premium image, amplifying and elevating the story of ‘Eight Notes’ across every design element — from the bottle cap to the neck, the label, and the mono carton. It also reflects the brand’s commitment to the philosophy of ‘Grain to Glass.’ 

Currently available in over 25 states and union territories, 8PM Premium Black Whisky continues to expand its presence.
