Holladay Bourbon to Enter Australian Market
Holladay Distillery, owned by McCormick Distilling Company, announced a new partnership with Australian spirits importer Honey Barrel, bringing Holladay Bourbon to the Australian market.
Founded by Melbourne natives Kia Rasteh and Brynley Cullen, Honey Barrel is a boutique spirits distributor on a mission to deliver rare, high-quality whiskeys and craft spirits tailored to the Australian palate. The duo’s passion for bourbon makes them the ideal partner to introduce Ben Holladay’s portfolio to a new audience of discerning drinkers.
“Bourbon and rye have always been at the heart of our journey,” Honey Barrel co-founder Kia Rasteh, who specializes in sourcing and distributing premium American whiskeys to independent bottle shops, cocktail bars, and bourbon-centric venues across Australia, said in a news release. “We’re thrilled to bring Ben Holladay to our market — it’s a brand that speaks to everything we love about heritage, flavor, and craftsmanship.”
Honey Barrel made its first splash with the Ben Holladay Rickhouse Proof, which they personally imported from the U.S. and introduced to Australian consumers through exclusive tastings at their curated bourbon bar.
“We couldn’t be more excited to work with passionate partners like Honey Barrel,” Ben Hammond of McCormick Distilling International said. “Their deep appreciation for quality spirits and their connection to Australia’s premium retail and bar scene will ensure that Ben Holladay Bourbon is presented in the way it deserves.”
Holladay Distillery, Missouri’s oldest distillery-and primary purveyor of Bottled-in-Bond bourbon made in the state, continues its international expansion with this milestone Australian launch. Holladay Bourbon is expected to reach the Australian shores later this summer.
