DISCUS to Hold Labeling Webinar with TTB
The Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) is hosting a free webinar on Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 1 p.m. with experts from the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) to provide guidance to distillers on common errors in labeling and formula submissions.
The session will feature TTB officials with the Alcohol Labeling and Formulation Division (ALFD) including Director Angela Jeffries, Deputy Director Michael Warren and other members of their team.
The webinar will cover frequent problems that lead to “needs correction” notices on label and formula submissions, and how spirits producers can prevent them to avoid costly delays in the approval process.
“Whether you are filing for a new, innovative spirits product or just trying to navigate the complexities of the COLA and formula systems, this is a chance to hear directly from TTB experts who review those applications,” Courtney Armour, DISCUS’ Chief Legal Officer, said in a news release. “This webinar is designed to provide spirits producers — especially craft distillers — an opportunity to engage directly with TTB experts and walk away with actionable tips that could help speed up approvals, save costs and protect your branding.”
The webinar will include an interactive component and a Q&A session. It is the first in a two-part series. A follow-up session later this year will feature responses to specific questions submitted by industry members.Registration is open now via DISCUS Academy: https://discusacademy.com/webinars/85480.
