Four Roses Announces 2025 Salt River Cleanup
Four Roses Distillery employees will come together once again for the annual Salt River Cleanup, dedicating their time to protect and restore one of the region’s most important natural resources. The limestone-rich waters of the Salt River are not only central to the surrounding community, but also play a key role in the bourbon production process.
This year’s cleanup will take place Sept. 23, 12:30-3 p.m., at the Salt River Cleanup site just behind the distillery, with two additional locations along the river about 20–30 minutes away: Dry Branch Road Access and Salt River Ramp 3 Access.
To further support the initiative, Four Roses is continuing their partnership with the Kentucky Waterway Alliance this year, a statewide nonprofit that empowers communities to care for their local waterways and advocates for stronger watershed protections at the state and national level. The Alliance will provide educational programming to employees on ways to safeguard this valuable resource for generations to come.
A limited run of commemorative Private Barrel Selection bottles will be available at the Lawrenceburg Visitor Center for $120. This special release debuts the Distillery’s new Private Barrel Selection label, featuring a woodgrain design that reflects the oak barrels and rivet details that echo the hardware securing each cask. Half of all bottle sales will benefit the Kentucky Waterway Alliance, furthering Four Roses’ commitment to protecting local waterways.
The bottle features one of Four Roses’ ten recipes, OBSK, bottled at barrel strength, and has been aged for 9 years and 11 months. Guests will also receive a complimentary commemorative water bottle with their purchase, and can enjoy a specialty cocktail during their visit to the distillery.
