Copperworks Releases Apple Brandy Cask Expressions
Copperworks Distilling Co. unveiled two special releases created from a pair of St. George Spirits California Reserve Apple Brandy casks, a gin and a whiskey.
Founded in 1982, St. George Spirits began as a distillery focused on eau de vie, a clear, unaged fruit brandy. Their production of eau de vies and a wide range of spirits, including aged brandy, continues today. They are also one of America’s oldest single malt whiskey producers, having begun distilling and maturing whiskey in 1997, fifteen years after they began.
“It feels like we’ve known Head Distiller Dave Smith and Master Distiller Lance Winters forever, forging a friendship over innumerable encounters at conventions, expos, and hosting them at our distillery in Seattle,” Copperworks President and Co-Founder Jason Parker said in a news release. “Having the opportunity to explore the possibilities of these two California Reserve Apple Brandy casks has been wonderful.”
This is a limited release of 326 bottles; it is bottled at 100 proof and has an SRP of $49.99 plus shipping. Purchase here.
