Peg Leg Porker Spirits announced an agreement with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits to be the brand’s broker of record across all 18 U.S. control markets.

Through this agreement, Southern Glazer’s will represent the full Peg Leg Porker Spirits portfolio, leveraging its expertise and longstanding relationships to drive listings, increase visibility and execute impactful programming across the channel. This marks a significant milestone for Peg Leg Porker Spirits as an independently owned company, as it continues to expand its national footprint.

Bringle is uniquely positioned in the spirits world as the only award-winning pitmaster with a prize-winning bourbon brand. Peg Leg Porker Bourbon earned a Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in its first year of release, with additional accolades garnering Platinum, Double Gold, Silver and Bronze medals across major national and international competitions, including the title of “World’s Best Bourbon” at the 2023 Tasting Alliance Competition.

What sets Peg Leg Porker Spirits apart is its distinct production process. Bringle applies his culinary expertise directly to the whiskey-making process, filtering the bourbon through hickory charcoal crafted from the same wood used in the barbecue pits at his Nashville restaurant, Peg Leg Porker. The result is a bourbon with a smooth, refined smokiness, layered with depth and complexity without overpowering the palate.

The agreement comes on the heels of the brand’s latest release: the Spirit of America Limited Edition Summer Series – America 250 Bourbon. This commemorative release celebrates the grit, craftsmanship and community that define the American spirit, drawing inspiration from Bringle’s own journey of resilience, as he overcame the loss of his leg to osteogenic sarcoma, and his entrepreneurial drive, as he went on to build a nationally recognized barbecue brand and one of the most distinctive bourbon lines in the country. 

Spirit of America features the Bottled-in-Bond classification, a hallmark of American whiskey. This designation ensures the product meets strict standards: It must be the output of a single distillation season from one distillery, aged for a minimum of four years in a federally bonded warehouse and bottled precisely at 100 proof.

Initially, the rollout will concentrate on the launch of Spirit of America. Following this introduction, there are plans to broaden distribution to include the full Peg Leg Porker Spirits portfolio.
