Coors Whiskey Co. has released its Blended American Malt Whiskey, a limited-release expression crafted with Coors’ own proprietary malt and Colorado malt. 

For Coors Spirits Co., the creation of a malt-forward whiskey is a natural evolution of a legacy built on malt itself since 1878. While aging plays a critical role, this whiskey begins with the grain.

“Most whiskey stories begin in the barrel. Ours begins with the grain,” Susie McInerney, Sr. Marketing Manager, Coors Spirits Co., said in a news release “Malt has been part of the Coors story since the earliest days of the company, rooted in long-standing malting tradition. This release represents a natural evolution for Coors Whiskey Co. and is proof that what goes into our whiskey—down to the grain—makes all the difference, and creates something truly differentiated in the category.”

Crafted using Coors Malt and Colorado malt, the whiskey reflects the same commitment to quality ingredients that has defined the Coors name for generations. As the home of one of North America’s largest malting facilities, Coors has influenced flavor profiles across both the brewing and whiskey industries. The release builds on that legacy, demonstrating how exceptional malt can shape the character of a premium whiskey from the very beginning. 

Bottled at 110.5 proof and featuring a blend of 8-year-old whiskeys, Coors Whiskey Co. Blended American Malt Whiskey delivers a vibrant and layered sensory profile.

Ahead of its release, Coors Whiskey Co. Blended American Malt Whiskey earned a score of 98 and Gold Outstanding from the 2026 International Wine & Spirits Awards, in addition to Double Platinum honors at the 2026 ASCOT Awards for both taste and label design which features a custom illustration of the historic Coors Malt House, a premium copper cork, a front bottle medallion, from a limited run of 1,200 individually numbered bottles.

With a suggested retail price of $79.99, the whiskey will be available for Father’s Day in Colorado and Illinois, making it one of the most exclusive releases in the brand’s portfolio. The release is the first of more innovative American whiskey expressions from Coors Whiskey Co., with additional exploration to come.
