Fred Minnick Talks Bourbon, Hot Pockets with Jim Gaffigan
Fred Minnick joined Jim Gaffigan in New York for the Bob Woodruff Foundation fundraiser. The two talk the state of bourbon, a potential Hot Pocket blend and why military veterans, like Fred, are frequently in the bourbon business.
There are some laughs along the way, too. Note: Apologies for some of the technical difficulties; Fred had to travel light.
Gaffigan has recently developed a full set of comedy based around bourbon culture and brought it to the stage, particularly in Kentucky.
“I knew it was a niche thing, but for bourbon-obsessed people, I think it’s right up their alley,” Gaffigan tells Fred in the conversation.
As for a Hot Pocket blend, Fred and the well-known comedian Gaffigan, who is known in part for his Hot Pockets jokes, also talk about other potential blends similar to a cigar blend — namely steak and sharp cheddar cheese. Distillers are now on notice.
