On this episode of Fourth & Neat, it’s a Thanksgiving get-together with hosts Fred Minnick and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jared Allen.

They talk about the slate of Thanksgiving Day NFL games and also delve into their personal Thanksgiving traditions. Fred also talks about how he has left his military training far in the rear view mirror — to which Jared admits he no longer enjoys working out after years of doing it as part of his job in the NFL.

Fred also talks about the year he spent Thanksgiving in Iraq. (There was no turkey.)

Speaking of turkey, Jared admits that his favorite aspect of Thanksgiving is not necessarily time spent with friends and family — it’s the leftovers.

“I’m a big leftovers guy,” he says.
