Dobel Tequila Atelier Extra Añejo vessels

Dobel Tequila announced the latest release in its collectible Atelier series: Dobel Atelier: Animales Endémicos, a limited-edition Extra Añejo tequila presented in six unique, hand-painted bottles.

Crafted with precision and heritage, this Extra Añejo tequila rests over three years in both new American and European oak barrels, before being blended to deliver optimal aromas and flavors.

“Dobel is built on 11 generations of tequila-making legacy, and the Atelier series reflects our dedication to redefining aged tequila,” Juan Dobel, founder of Dobel Tequila, said in a news release. “This Extra Añejo showcases the depth of our tequila heritage and reflects the artistry of Mexico, inside and out.”

Every bottle in the Animales Endémicos collection is carefully hand-painted by Oaxacan artisans using the same technique traditionally applied to decorate “alebrijes,” small figurines depicting fantastical creatures from Oaxaca, featuring bright, vivid colors often in intricate, dotted patterns.

This year’s unique bottle designs are each inspired by an animal native to Mexico: the axolotl, the jaguar, the monarch butterfly, the dwarf jay, the Tamaulipas owl, and the Mexican wolf.

Now in its third U.S. edition, the Dobel Atelier series has become a collectible celebration of culture, craftsmanship, and ultra-premium tequila – continuing the brand’s mission to tell the stories of Mexico through collectible art and extraordinary tequila.

Dobel Atelier Animales Endemicos is now available in limited quantities nationwide and online via the Dobel Tequila website or Reserve Bar for a suggested retail price of $250.
