Mythology Distillery, based in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, announced the opening of its newest tasting room in Breckenridge on Friday, March 6. Located at 201 N. Main Street, next to Rootstalk and just behind Limber Grove and Carvers, the tasting room is housed in a renovated historic barn in the heart of downtown.

The new location marks an exciting expansion for the Steamboat-based distillery, bringing its acclaimed Colorado spirits to one of the state’s most iconic mountain destinations.

Mythology Distillery was named Colorado’s Top Distillery in 2024 by ColoradoBiz, and previously earned recognition as Denver’s Top Distillery multiple times before relocating its headquarters and all production operations to Steamboat Springs in 2023. Today, all of Mythology’s distilling and tasting experiences are rooted in Steamboat, where the brand has built a strong mountain-town following.

In Steamboat, Mythology operates:

• A cocktail bar and restaurant
• An active seasonal Whiskey Garden featuring live music throughout the summer
• An après bar and restaurant at the base of Steamboat Ski Resort

The Breckenridge tasting room will initially focus on curated tastings and retail sales of Mythology’s award-winning portfolio, including:

• Hell Bear Rye + Bourbon – a distinctive and delicious blend of Bourbon and Rye whiskeys that has earned more than 20 medals for its unique character and craftsmanship.
• The Forager’s Gin – created in collaboration with the Denver Botanic Gardens, featuring botanicals foraged at the Gardens and crafted into a seasonal Spring/Summer gin expression.

Guests will also be able to taste and purchase Mythology’s full lineup of whiskies, gins, specialty spirits, and vodka, along with branded merchandise.

Winter Hours & Local Appreciation

The Breckenridge tasting room will be open Friday through Sunday from 12:00 PM to 7:30 PM during this winter season. To celebrate the opening, locals will receive 10% off bottles and merchandise during the initial winter launch season.

Mythology plans to host a grand opening celebration this summer, when the tasting room will expand to seven days a week service.
