Chattanooga Whiskey Releases Ginger Infused Highball RTD
Chattanooga Whiskey announced a new limited-time offering: Ginger Infused Highball. Made with all-natural ingredients, 100% straight bourbon whiskey, and only four grams of sugar, Ginger Infused marks the company’s first ready-to-drink canned seltzer – specifically crafted for warm weather and outdoor enjoyment.
Inspired by the effervescent “whiskey highball” style, Ginger Infused is a carbonated, whiskey-based seltzer, crafted with five all-natural ingredients: lemon peel, orange peel, dried ginger, lemongrass and gentian. This vibrant blend of botanicals is infused into Chattanooga Whiskey’s signature recipe (Chattanooga Whiskey 91), which allows the aged whiskey to extract the full range of bright and refreshing flavors from the whole ingredients.
After more than a week of infusion time, the whiskey is then blended with a hint of sugar and carbonated water before being canned at a flavorful yet approachable 8% ABV.
“During the development of our first canned cocktail, we noticed that most hard seltzers use neutral spirits to lighten the flavor and lab-made flavors to simplify and intensify the flavor,” Grant McCracken, Founding Distiller, said in a news release. “Our goal with Ginger Infused was to capture a fuller spectrum of flavors found within real ingredients and real bourbon, while still delivering a light and refreshing profile.”
Although the Ginger Infused Highball is a slight departure from Chattanooga Whiskey’s range of full-strength, malt-forward spirits, this limited-time offering is not entirely unfamiliar territory for the distillery. Since 2020, the company has garnered a passionate following for their wide range of all-natural, whiskey-based liqueurs – found within their prolific Experimental Single Batch Series.
Ginger Infused continues with this tried and true approach, while making a few key adjustments. Rather than bottling a full-strength spirit into a 750ml bottle, the infused whiskey is blended with a touch of sugar, carbonated water, and packaged in a more convenient 12-ounce can. This approach is meant to deliver the same flavor integrity of a high-end cocktail, while offering the refreshing quality of a lower-alcohol, low-sugar canned seltzer.

With just four grams of sugar per can and an 8% ABV, Ginger Infused Highball contains approximately 2.4 ounces of 80-proof whiskey per 12-ounce serving. Available in 4-packs at a suggested retail price of $16.99, Ginger Infused Highball will be available for a limited time at the Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery and select retailers in Tennessee and Georgia.
