Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) and Altos Planos, Inc., producer of award-winning, ultra-premium agave spirits brands Mijenta Tequila and Tres Tribus Mezcal, announced that Altos Planos will be distributed by RNDC in Texas beginning June 1, 2026. 

“Altos Planos has built some of the most acclaimed and fastest-growing agave spirits brands in the category, and we’re excited to welcome Mijenta and Tres Tribus to our portfolio,” Michael Dubois, State EVP, RNDC Texas, said in a news release. “Across Texas, spirits-led accounts continue to prioritize authentic, well-crafted agave offerings, and the Altos Planos team has created meaningful momentum behind these brands. With our experienced sales organization, established relationships, and commitment to delivering in the market, we are well positioned to build on that momentum and support the next phase of growth.”

Texas is a strategically important market for agave spirits, estimated at approximately 15% of total U.S. tequila sales and the second largest state after California. With a long history in Texas, RNDC has a strong footprint across the state and a vast network of accounts where it maintains strong relationships.

“Tequila brands like Mijenta that use only agave, water and yeast are growing at more than 30% year over year, and we’ve only begun to tap into that consumer interest in the state,” Dolan continued. “We’re confident the RNDC team will help us supercharge the development of the Texas market.”

In March 2026, Reyes Beverage Group (RBG) and RNDC announced that they have entered into agreements for RBG to purchase certain markets of RNDC’s operations, including those in Texas. While subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing requirements, the parties remain on track to close the transaction as early as the end of May 2026. Altos Planos has been distributed by RBG in California since May 2025.
